Welcome to St. Thomas More Catholic First School which is proud to be part of the Our Lady of the Magnificat Catholic Multi-Academy.

At St. Thomas More Catholic First School, our Mission statement ‘God’s Servant First’ is central to and permeates all aspects of school life. Taken from the words of our patron, St. Thomas More, we aim to live out this mission through the work we do each day and the values and virtues we instil in all of our pupils.

We thrive in our vocation to provide the best possible start in life for all the children in our care in an environment where they feel valued and secure. We pride ourselves on being a happy, welcoming and caring community, which seeks excellence in fulfilling the educational, personal, social and spiritual needs of all children. 

As part of Our Lady of the Magnificat, we have strong links with our feeder schools; St. Bede's Catholic middle school and St. Augustine's Catholic high school. It is our aspiration that all children at St. Thomas More will continue their Catholic education within our Multi-academy. Choosing St. Thomas More for your child ensures the very best start possible. 

We have a long tradition of successful partnerships with parents, teachers, governors, our Parish and local community.

All of this helps to ensure that the children in our care are a respected part of our caring Christian community where they can feel valued and secure, and make the best possible start to their school life.
